I heard this statement on the radio a few days ago and it brought to mind a bible verse, so I did a little search and came up with this:
Men as Victims

He becomes blinded to women as valuable, gifted and contributing human beings. As the nature of the pornography viewing increases in frequency and hardness, the cellular memories storing these images become larger and more dominant in the male brain and body.
The neural pathways linking these cellular memories become chasms, wide and deep. Eventually, the neural pathways and cellular memories that allow a man to see and appreciate a woman as more than just a sex object are overpowered, then shut down completely from non-use. |

I say
It's the LACK of exposure to **** that's the problem.

I for one happen to agree with the OP. **** is not good, for the person or society. The attitude of relationships in general is hurting a lot. Whenever I hear people talking about their "relationship" it almost always is sexual, rather than personable. I see a divorce rate so high, that you are now in the minority if you are happily married. And further more, marriage has lost most all meaning in society, except as a means of financial advancement.
Maybe it's not just **** per say, but in general how relationships and women are portrayed in media. And they're doing it to themselves (Brittany Spearse).
But, as the OP posted in the verse from Romans, **** isn't the only vice that will be rampant without God in one's life. God is the key to life.

Well, now that the middle schoolers have had their say, I can tell you that I do appreciate your post. That verse certainly describes a human condition. Apparently this is nothing new, a problem that went back to Biblical times, but with the advent of the Internet the access to vile and debasing images is as accessible as tap water. I have found things that I could have lived lifetimes without seeing, and it does put a callous on the soul. Fortunately, I have found a partner in life who accepts my flaws and values my support, and she likes the occaisional late night Cinemax feature as much as the next lady, in addition to her many other gifts and assets. I hope that guys will give it a second read, and evaluate how that may be effecting their relationships.

This nation, with its power and reputation as a defender of freedom is falling and it is happening from within. We've strayed so far from God's word and its principles, that we cannot survive without a serious turnaround. At various times, judgment has fallen on nations and societies because of their debauchery and we are no different.
Society in Noah's day was described as "a wicked and adulterous generation". When compared to that society, we should be shaking in fear for judgment is coming to us also.
Our nation's economy is faltering. Crime is overwhelming us, and yet, we continue to taunt God. My heart hurts for my country. If we don't turn our lives to righteousness, we CANNOT last.
Billy Graham said, many years ago that "If God doesn't judge us, he would owe Sodom and Gommorah an apology."
When I heard the comment on the radio, I thought of our ignorance of sin and how we neglect its correction in every aspect of our lives. If you give the issue some serious thought, it is obvious to everyone. There is no aspect of our lives that has not been touched by some vice such as those listed in the Romans verse. We are now seeing it bubble to fulfillment as we see our nation being destroyed by those whom we've elected, and THEY are but a reflection of US.
