Hahah, that episode was funny. Part of that episode was filmed just 2 miles down the street from my house. When they were car shopping, they actually drove up to Fort Lauderdale off "441 / State Road-7" which is said to be the nationals largest used car lot because every other store down that street is a used car lot. Anyway, it's only 2 miles down the street from my house, and they made the place look like crack town.
It's kind of weird down here, becaue you can have broke people, and then just down the street, mansions. I'm somewhere in the middle. Heh.------------------

You're kidding?!?!
Where did it cut off? When they get to the "finish" they're given another envelope and told they're not done yet - they have to find the real finish line in Ha Long Bay. There's a floating fishing village in the bay and that's the actual finish line. Oh, and it's only accessible by water.... so they have to make their bikes into water craft.

I used to think it was staged, too. But not anymore - I'm almost finished reading Richard Hammond's Autobiography about his jet-car crash, the brain damage he suffered as a result, and his recovery. I had heard that. I'll have to read his autobiography.
Yeah, a lot of stuff they do is staged but they don't always anticipate the locals' reactions. They were thinking it was a bit of fun and realized some people don't have a sense of humor about some things.
Some people might have the same reaction to the wrong team colors at a Football or Rugby match. IP: Logged |
