Looking for a working headlight control module for an '87 or '88. I know a few from the corvette and Firebird are interchangeable. Any luck?

I got one off a corvette and unfortunately, it wasn't interchangeable. (you can have it if you want to pay for shipping) I ended up just replacing the relay in it and works like a charm. Have you cracked it open to see what's wrong?

The relay used in the Fiero headlight module is complex, board mounted and multi-pinned. Its contains something like four relay functions. While replacement relays are available replacing one is a huge tedious soldering job .

Not sure what's wrong with the relay but when I opened it it smelt burnt. I tested all the wires from the headlight switch to the relay and from the replay to the motors and everything is fine. Pretty sure I found the issue. Do you know the part number of the corvette relay you purchased?

I have a couple of these, but not sure if they work. I'm guessing there's not an easy way to test them, except for plugging them in and turning on the headlights?

I did it in like 45 min; the main relay is actually easy to replace; just need a good soldering iron and some soldering wick and it came right out.

No clue; there is no PN molded onto it. I do know it was from a C5. I tried it but it didn't work. When I took apart my (fiero) module, it was readily apparent that the relay was toast. I ordered PN: Z10473-ND from digikey which is the replacement for the main relay in the module. Took old relay out and soldered new one in, worked perfectly.

Great job. Last I looked there was something like 14 pins on that relay that all had to be un-soldered and resoldered. I guess with the right iron and a good wick the job can be done and you've proved it.
