Hey everybody:

I'm looking for a passenger-side battery cover for a 1984 Indy. One of my mounting tabs is damaged, and I would like to replace it on a 13,000 mile car. I am planning on repainting all three panels, so condition of the paint is not important. I'm in Michigan.

Many thanks!

Wouldn't you know it. I have 3 of these covers, only one is a right side and it has a broken tab where the slot is that slides under the mounting bolt on the chassis.
Looking at it I think you could easily do a pretty clean fix with a small strip of aluminum cut to the rigtht shape and riveted or epoxied into place.
Worth a try if you can't find an intact replacement.
Sorry I couldn't help. Good luck with the search!!

FieroMeister:

Many thanks! Unfortunately, the car is a 13,000 mile Indy, so I really need a nice one.

:-)
