I am interested in installing the RX-8 mirrors on my 88 GT. It is my understanding from reading old posts that at least at one point there was a bracket made for this. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or has a set to sell, let me know.

Thanks,
Jeff

Also interested in a set of these brackets, or templates to cut them out/weld them myself

The person who made the brackets turned out to be a thief and a scammer. He is no longer on here and no one has heard from him since. Basically, cut a triangle piece of steel, weld it on to the top of your door flange, remove the plastic triangle filler from the base of the windshield frame, and mount the mirror. The welding is the hardest part if you do not own a welder.

I performed that mod on a set of RX-8 mirrors for a local club member. The car already had the metal triangles attached to the door. I just had to make the mirrors fit. It required substantial modification of the mirror bases.

the ones I saw in previous posts had a smaller triangle cut out of the center and rewelded, sort of stepped in if you will... not like I can't make up a template, just figured if one was out there I'd go with what was already proven
