The 88 tanks will fit into earlier Fero's however you also need the mounting brackets from the 88 as well. The 88 tanks are larger and hold about another 2 gallons of fuel than previous years. The 88's also have a small auxilary breater tank that sits in the fender well that normally goes along with the fuel tank and is connected to it. I do not believe that this tank is required with the conversion, hoowever I may be wrong. LarryH
