UPDATED PRICE: 1986.5 Fiero GT. Black/Silver exterior, Silver Cloth Interior. 5spd manual. 3.8SC installed. 17" ASA Rims, C4 brakes on all corners, Koni Shocks, lowered springs, Upgraded Sway bars. Dyno tested with 252 HP and 275 Ft-lb at the rear wheels. Everything else on the car is original. No sunroof, power windows, rear spoiler.
I'm the second owner, purchased from original owner who did all the modifications. I have the original bill of sale from Pat Clark Pontiac in Las Vegas, NV where the car lived until 2014. It's now in Grand Rapids, MI. No snow, rain or salt. All manuals are included, including workshop books for the 3.8. I've owned the car since 2013, but it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
There a lots of 3.8's out there. Almost none on a low mileaged car. I have a car cover and some other stuff that will go along with it including a Pegasus Engineering Catalog from 1986 in perfect condition.
Over $20K was spent dialing this car in (not including the car) and installing all the upgrades (I have the receipts). When I bought it, it sat next to a brand new Ferrari and AMG Mercedes. It now sits next to a Z3 Coupe and a 993. The car sounds and looks amazing. Gets more attention than any car I've owned. However, I have other priorities in life at the moment and thinning out the heard, so the Fiero must go.
Asking price $14,900, If you need pictures, visit my craigslist ad found here:
"jjd2296" I always love car forums where people want to immediately jump to critique ones car for sale. The funny part is, it's like the enthusiasts don't ever want to see their cars appreciate in value. Yes, you've likely seen GT cars with 3.8's sell for $12K or less. They've likely had 100K miles on the body too and/or were in various stages of being completed. This is not one of those cars. Look elsewhere, if you want to spend $8k, $10K or $12K. All this car needs is to be washed, waxed, driven and enjoyed.
Sorry I don't have pictures to post, I don't know how to host/post them. I can email the few I have in my phone if you're genuinely interested (it's winter and the car is tucked away in a heated garage).
Please let me the market speak for itself. As the description reads, I'm open to reasonable offers. If you want to debate values in an attempt to diminish the value of my car, please be courteous and do so in a private message, not by hijacking my post.
This is a solid two owner, 10K mile car that has a 3.8SC swap. Not many like this exist. It's turn-key, just get in and drive it. It will put a smile on your face every time you take it out. It provides more grins and conversations than my 993 Porsche.
There is no difference in value from a 10k car to a 40 k car when your doing a swap like this. If both cars are rust free and well maintained. The original owner would have been better off keeping the 10k car original and finding a 40k car for the swap. The 10k car original would be worth more to a collector.
Just trying to keep it in perspective as to actual market conditions. That’s not saying there isn’t a buyer out there willing to pay your asking price. If your in no rush to sell the. Hold your price. If your looking to move it then consider my comments.

Was entire swap done by previous owner? Original (rubber) bushings or poly? Condition of steering wheel, headliner, interior plastics/vinyl? Boost gauge installed? Cats? A/C (R12 or 134)? Cruise? Condition of taillights? Headlight motors rebuilt? Original radio/speakers or aftermarket? Short-shifter installed?
Would enjoy seeing pics. Black/silver is a great color combo!
I dont criticize asking prices in the mall. But I get a bad taste in my mouth when someone joins this forum just to sell their car. Or joins to ask what their car is worth, usually a dealer that is fishing because they have no idea what the car they just took in a trade is worth. Exploring all avenues to sell your car is smart, but don't expect us to be impressed by what you are offering.
I would be ashamed and embarrassed to jump into a for sale thread as you have done. If you don't think his car is worth what he wants for it, just move on. There is no benefit to anyone for trolling his thread.
Not when we have a crazy price,no pics and still no one refuting my evaluation. Sorry I don’t usually like to critique ones price as they are trying to sell their car but when I see a crazy price from a non active forum member I am compelled to help inform any forum members considering such a purchase. We have seen this before.
So nice of you to assume that others cannot make decisions on their own. I'll suggest to Mr. Pennock that he promotes you to the position of Mall Cop.....
Not to mention over 200 views and no one actually refuting my assessment and evaluation of pricing. .....mic drop.....
Here is the market speaking. I paid UNDER 9k for an 86 GT Chop Top, upgraded brakes, leather seats, 20" rims, Chin spoiler, new side mirros, and an LT1 in the back. The car has a show quality paint job on it and the seller threw in a bunch of parts on top. Yes the car did need some work to make it a daily driver, but no where near $11,000 worth. Trust when I say that if I park this car next to 99% of the cars out there this is the one they are looking at.
I have not seen this car and it may be worth the asking price to the seller, I how ever could not spend that much on what is described when there have been cars sold with more for less.
Actually your right I should start my own 2018 thread to discuss current going prices. I’ll delete these posts and start a new thread for everyone to chime in on.
That actually sounds like a good idea. Checked out the links you posted and the 88 is a great looking car. A thread full of recently sold fiero prices would be helpful to a lot of people.
I have no dog in this hunt, I wish the seller well getting whatever price he wants. The market will dictate the eventual price. If he has other priorities and wishes to convert this car to cash he'll price accordingly, if he would like to sell but doesn't have to than he won't adjust.
I've got an 86 with leather seats, scoops, modded 3.8SC motor etc. $19,000 sounds good to me. If a bidding war breaks out send me the loser. good luck with the sale. I do hope you get what you want.
I also forgot to mention that I have some credentials to back up my evaluation. Family has been in the car business for over 35 years having owned a GM and Chrysler store. There are 2 current examples of an 87 and 88 fully customized with convertible tops that were sold by lothar to a st. Catherine’s dealer then wholesales to 2 other car dealers this year. No they don’t have as low miles on the chassi but are fairly mint non the less. The 87 http://www.autotrader.ca/a/..._10_8&srt=3&showVs=1 Hasn’t sold and was recently dropped to $8888 cad which is 7k usd and the 88 http://www.autotrader.ca/a/..._10_8&srt=3&showVs=1 is still priced at 12500 cad which is 9900 usd. They have both been for sale at dealerships for the last 6 months! Great deal for a south of the boarder forum member even with import charges. Remember from a retail perspective low miles on an engine swapped car fully customized really means nothing when compared to another fully customized similar car if both are rust free and done right.
Is the name of your family's automobile business Troll Motor Sales?
So.....after reading this thread, as well well as trying to sell very nice fieros on pennocks.
Why can't you read the thread of someone's car for sale. If you can't accept the fact that people cant,or know how to post a picture.
Quit trying to be Mr, a*#hole.....and just simply move on!!! How hard would that be...... Oh wait........i forgot.......most people on here a bunch of childish adults!!!!!
By the way!!!! Great posts olejoedad

jjd2296, you need a life and should get over yourself. Trolling this post and trolling me down on bimmerfest too. You really need a life. By the way, bimmerfest hosts the photos like craigslist, simply hit the upload button. Since you're obviously out to prove everyone wrong and justify your own existence as the master of the fiero pricing wars, you're likely not genuinely interested in seeing photos.
For those of you who are looking for completed turn-key Fiero GT 3.8SC, or aren't a complete douchbag like jjd2296 and just want to see some pics, click the craigslist ad I added in my first post. Plenty of photos for you to drool over.
If you're interested, email me.
I really can't believe the moderator allows this behavior. You'd think the Fiero community want a car like this to sell for higher dollars. It would only help everyone. Crazy.
Has anything changed on the car? The pictures have Nevada plates so there about 3 years. I agree with adding pic's of the engine bay and interior but if you really want to sell this car post a video with the engine running; I'm sure the exhaust sounds sweet.
Front and back bays are as new. Car has not been modified since the photos were taken. Being winter in Michigan, these photos from prior to our move is all I have at the moment (taken for insurance purposes prior to shipping the cars).
This is a genuine 10K mile car. Built the way GM should have done it. About the only flaw on the car is headliner came unglued last summer and it's been replaced. Interior looks stock and new.
If we get a day above freezing I might fire it up outside and get you a video, interior shots and engine bay shots.
I'm not in the market, but I do hope you get a reasonable offer. Fiero owners are their own worst enemies. We want our cars to appreciate and become collectible, but any time anyone leans in that direction, all the others beat him up about it. There are a couple of folks on the forum who are "good" at it. (jjd caught me off guard.) Self proclaimed know-it-alls.
Posting engine and interior pics will always help. People are going to want to see them. Especially people who are not local to you.
