Hi, I'm looking to buy a working/good condition UU6 cassette radio with equalizer from a 1984 Fiero or other Pontiac). If anyone has one they're looking to part with, please let me know! Thanks, John

John, pull this page down. hercimer01 has a tread on here with the stereo you want.

Hi Indyguy,
Thanks for the reply. I had already seen that post and, unfortunately, that's not the radio I'm looking for. That radio would be from about 1992.
A 1984 UU6 looks like the above image.
Thanks,
John

So, it's an all-black version of the same radio as other years.

I've seen the same radio in quite a few third generation F-bodys.

@ FieroG97J - thank you for the offer. I'd like to hold out for a UU6 but might consider it. I sent you a PM. @ shark - it's unique to 1984. The radio in later years had different buttons for the tape deck. There were four smaller buttons, eject and search on the left and FWD/REV on the right. They also had Auto DNR and AM Stereo capability. @ Gwhite18 - yes, this radio was available in Firebirds as well as some of the other 1984 model Pontiacs.

LOL ^ ^ ^
It doesn't matter anyway. That's not the correct unit.

Yes, I had seen that listing too. Ridiculous. That's also a UX1 unit - the kind tshark was referring to. Those are much more common than the UU6. They were made from 1985-1993 or so. -John

IF you find a source for working models...let me know. I've been looking for years and have yet to find one.
