im slowly coming to the realization I don't have time to give this car what it needs. With twin 2 year old boys the money would be better anyway. It comes with a ton of extra parts that I'll list below.:Here's a link to the build thread for pictures. It comes with a ton of extra parts for the restoration. I would love to see this car go to someone who will finish the restoration and understands the significance of this car. I'd like to get $2500 OBO for the car and all parts or $1500 OBO for the car and no parts! I'm very negotiable on price and really want to see the car finished. Let me know if you're interested and I'll answer any questions. I have the clear title for the car in hand!
Quick overview: Indy Pace car #64, Parade car #4. Yes, it was at the Indy 500 in 84! 2.5L 4 cylinder Automatic transmission. A/C, PW, PL, Cruise, Has a late model am/fm/cd player from a Grand Am. Runs ok, shifts good, drives good. Has a hooker header on it and poly front suspension. What's been replaced: Tires are brand new. Dew wipes Sunroof tracks Half of the brake lines(bought the kit from the Fiero store. The other half comes with the car) Doors/trunk locks Seat covers Alternator and belts Fuel pump and filter A/c works when charged but has a small leak. I have seals and a receiver/drier that comes with the car) Headlight motors Cooling fan I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting.
What's included: Other half of the Fiero store brake line kit Ac oring kit, orfice tube and receiver dryer for 134a conversion 4 new brake calipers new in box New rubber brake lines. New Monroe shocks and struts, new in box New battery cables Various engine gaskets All new engine and transmission mounts in boxes New tune up parts (plugs, wires, cap, rotor) New ball joints Extra set of indy leather arm rests About 5 sets of worn indy seat covers Extra Indy Fiero red floor mat (might be 2 extra) Again I'm sure there are things im forgetting. What it comes with and what it needs: It still needs the, frame rails replaced, paint job, and probably a tune up. It does run/drive/shift good, I've driven it around the neighborhood a couple times. Also drove it about 10 miles home from work after making a ton of repairs.
It would need to be towed, it runs ok but the gas is old and the brakes need attention. Questions, comments or offers just PM, Email or reply here!
Thanks! James
Ps: for $3500 I'll throw in everything for the super duty engine with the car.
Sounds like a great deal! Not up to replacing frame rails myself.
Agreed. Great car that should be restored but the frame rails are where I'm out. Good luck! If you decide to part with any of the spares PM me first....lol
I will be keeping a very very close eye on this car....I have a low mileage 84 right now that I would even be willing to use as a donor for it. (57K) If its still up when i can get some extra money you will be getting a message from me no doubt. Hope you dont have to sell her though, its always a shame to see one go.
