I'm trying to figure out why our GT gas pedal is so hard. I remove cable from throttle and pedal moves very easy. Do throttle by hand and it seems ok. Put it together and tight / hard pedal. Does anyone have a good 2.8 throttle body for sale or I can borrow?
I have one for you. The it's missing the TPS, but is otherwise complete. A little dirty, it came off of a rusted Formula parts car I picked up. Email or PM me if you want a couple pics.
Try spraying gum out on the springs and linkages on the TB. It's worth a try!

With the cable disconnected apply a little resistance to the cable end while the pedal is being depressed and see if the binding reappears. It might be cutting into the housing somewhere when resistance is applied. Meaning, it could still be the cable.

I disconnected the cable at the throttle and injected oil / PB Blaster down into the cable. It worked great. What ever was hanging it up got lubed and no more hard pedal.
