I'm always flabbergasted when a car-for-sale ad doesn't mention the transmission... automatic or manual.
Or a PRICE!
When cars are listed in the local trader, if there is no price I don't even bother to look at them. Dealers do this all the time. If you are selling a car, put a price on it and quit jerking everybody around.
Guys FYI I talked to him right after he posted the add. He is looking for around 6500 for it...I made an offer but was much lower than 6500. Have not heard anything from him since. Sounds like it has some nice pieces. He said it was a crate 350/330 and all installed at Archies. That is all I have found out about it. He did sound like a pretty nice guy tho.
The buyer isn't purchasing the seller's personality. In the final analysis, the car is worth what people are willing to pay. While some of the interior is nice, the car isn't worth that much to me for a few parts. Most of the modifications listed detract from my interest in the vehicle, but then, the same may apply to my vehicle for someone else. I understand that the engine swap cost a lot of money, but it doesn't necessarily add to the value of the vehicle.
