I was talking to a member, I believe his s/n was RamesesPride? I think he got banned from here, but before he did, I was talking to him about me purchasing a muffler delete piping system he was going to sell to the pff members who were interested.
the bottom line is inward flow, and the two lines splitting off at the top are flowing out to the little bit of pipe the tips are welded to.
Check with a performance exhaust installer who dynamax or magna flow. They may have a y-pipe transition in stock OR summit. MagnaFlow 10734 - MagnaFlow Y-Pipe Transitions
basically* yes, thats what im looking for, its gotta be a little wider than the stock muffler though, so the pieces of pipe the exhaust tips are on can be installed and adjusted to fit correctly.
I have that exact system. The fit is actually really good. My only hang up was trying to hang the tail pipes. And im still searching for tips. But the car sounds so mean.
That magnaflow "T" pipe is the ONLY one like it that is made from what I could find. I just went through the same search for my car and ended up using that one. It's costly but it's well-made and there are really no other options unless you make one yourself.
still looking for something premade, ready to sell... exhaust shop will custom make one for me but they cant put a price on it until they have made one.
i can build these.. they are easily made.. the only problem is that it would have to be welded on because i have no way of expanding pipe to make it slip fit.. this is a system i made for my 88 when it still had the 2.8 in it.. i made the y with the inlet and outlet the same dementions as the muffler so i could use the factory tailpipes..
