I bought an 88 fiero with a fast back conversion a while back from Dana with the intent of starting to race. Well life happens and I am not going to be racing anytime soon. I would like to find it a good home. I was told it weighs in at about 2100 lbs through careful dieting. I have not put is on scales but i can see how they may have achieved it.

It is NOT street legal and has been heavily modified/reinfornced/lighten for racing. A few of the many details:
tubular front A frames
hyme joints wherever possible and poly bushings for the few remaining joints
Custom coil overs on all 4 corners, shocks custom valved by Koni for this car.
Griffen racing radiator, oil catch can and oil cooler
3.4l DOHC on a close ratio 5sp from an Achieva
Full cage, race seat and harness.
Motor has about 11k on it ( originally was a crate from GM. Internals are stock, except for a custom intake (350ci throttle body) and exhaust (2.5" fully tuned equal length).

I do know it is very fast and I am sure my neighbors did not really appraciate the quality of the soundtrack as much as I did. Fortunately they are understanding and I did not abuse their patience and only drove it a few time through the sub.

i do not want to part this out and while it is taking up garage space i am not going to give it away.
I am listing it, the spare hubs, extra wheels, extra 3.4L (needing to be rebuilt), parts tranmission and more for $3500

adding a couple pics. The wheels in the picture were replaced with Team Dynamics Lightweight Racing Wheels

here is a link to more pictures http://s66.photobucket.com/...8%20Fiero/?start=all

link should be working now

Hey man for the life of me I can not find any of our email back in fourth about the details on the car. Mainly need to find out which gen engine is it this thing.

Again thanks for selling to me. So far I have only been able to take it down my local road here, and HOLY HELL this thing is fast!

THANKS AGAIN
130 cars on track. I turned the 10th fastest lap and with some very small tweaks we will be the fastest car next race

It is a blast to drive this thing at speed. The turn in is amazing and we were hitting 1.5g 's a lot

I started the race 61st with 130 cars on a 2.0 mile track i drove it to 5th by lap 30 but then got a false black flag that brought me into the pits

Very cool! I wish I was closer so I could see it in action on the track in person.

Cool track car. I haven't seen too many purpose built track oriented Fieros. It looks good at Summit Point- how'd it handle the karussel?

What are the sizes of the wheels and tires?

17"

8.25" 35m offset with a 215/40 on the front
9.75" 25m offset with a 255/40 on the rear

As long as my other drivers remembered which set of wheels should be first it did real well. I personally was seeing some 1.5g loads
