Located in Atlanta, this car was going to be my long term project, put maybe 1500 miles on it a year for the last 3 years I had it... It's driven from Connecticut to New Orleans to Atlanta, it starts, runs, drives, stops. Really hasnt seen much use in the past 18 months though, mostly sat and periodically started, drove it once a week or so 3-5 miles each way.
Red interior is VERY nice, new headliner and console lid replaced, no rips or anything on the seats, I've had many compliments on how nice the inside on the car is down here. White paint has seen better days, was an old repaint that has some chips/tiny flakes missing across the rear quarters. Hard top car that was ziebart undercoated when new.
Engine is a 305/4bbl all stock, trans is a 700-4r, rear is a borg warner 9-bolt. Radio/lights/wipers/horn/heat/vents/pw all work. Had new battery exhaust tires etc since I bought it.
Total mileage is around 129k, I am second registered owner. It's just sitting lately since I've been driving my 78 Z28 alot more and I dont want to see it fall downhill which I feel is starting to happen and *will* happen if this continues. It's a great project car, could possibly be a good daily driver if you go through it well and service all the systems, but aside from one trip from New Orleans to Atlanta last year, it hasnt been more than 5 miles in any one direction in a while... just a weekend driver and hoped for project for me.
Looking for an inspectable, reliable, highway worthy automatic fiero, prefer a 87/88 duke coupe, but will consider any automatic. Might even trade down a little bit with some cash to make up the difference, or would sell it outright if someone wanted to make an offer. Cant upload pff pictures though... IP: Logged |

How much do you want for the car outright? What gear ratio is in the axle? Rear disc, right? 5.0 HO or not? Eighth character of the VIN code G or H ? Does it have the dual snorkle air filter? Pic's are a plus.[This message has been edited by Cooter (edited 09-06-2009).] IP: Logged |

Does it have rear disc brakes? I remember back when I was modifying an F-Body I discovered there were two rear end series, the GM 10 bolt and the Austrailian 9 bolt one of which I purchased to swap out a drum brake rear end. Not sure they were making them that year.IP: Logged |

PM sent for price Factory drum rear brakes, 3.08 ratio Not a H.O. or TPI, just a basic LG4 code 305 v8 No dual snorkle on this carbed car, those only came from the factory on carbed Camaros.
Pics may be up sometime in the near future, I've sent some out via email. There is a good deal of flaking in the paint on the upper qtrs I just cover with touchup to prevent rust, the downside of that is it doesn't show up much in the pics. Could make a cheap driver, but really needs the body fixed up nice to be a great car. Bonus to this car is I'm second owner and it was never beat on, everything kept towards stock since new - cant say that about many 3rd gens.[This message has been edited by KennyC (edited 09-07-2009).] IP: Logged |

OH MY GOD!!! Red interior!!! and you want to trade it...? hmmmm, if only I had an 88 coupe I wanted to sell/trade. I wish I could get it, as I LOVE red interiors! but alas, my driveway is only just so big
free bump, for nice car. (as I too have a 305 Firebird and love it dearly)

Well, I feel alot of times trades are better for both sides than straight sales and buying something new... Most of my cars have red interiors (not that crappy 80s maroon that turned grey)... Thanks for the bump though, and if anyone wants to come pick it up for cash as a winter project car this weekend they might get a good deal...IP: Logged |
