I am going to do an engine swap on my 86 Fiero.
The engine is a 1990 Buick 3800 auto trans, the car was a Tech4 man trans.

I bought a flywheel for the Buick, but I suspect I need to balance the flywheel to the auto trans flex plate?
But I believe I need to remove height from the flywheel for the swap as well?

I tried the search, but I didn't find the clues I needed, so I am lost as to what I need to do, anyone have a list?

I have a boomerang clutch installed on the Fiero flywheel, I would like to keep that clutch setup if possible.
You get the smooth operation with normal use, and kevlar grip in HP use! Plus the total time on that setup was very low.
Or should I bite the bullet and get a new clutch pack?

As far as the HP, it is going to be a basic stock build, so it isn't going to be a racer, but just a fun cruiser!

You are attempting a 3800 Series 1 engine swap. In 1990 those engines were all normally aspirated. Its not a very popular swap because for the work/cost the end result is only 165HP, not a significant improvement. If you still want to do that swap and mate that engine to a stick you will need a specially cut flywheel. I have no idea what the thickness it should be on a series 1 engine. On the series II engine they are cut in the area of .82 in thickness and balanced to the flexplate.
