You can test your fuel pump by energizing it from the ALDL connector. Putting a pressure gauge on the fuel rail beforehand will indicate if the pressure comes up to spec and if the pump is functioning properly.
Terminal G is used to test the operation of the fuel pump without removing the tank or unplugging the relay.
Apply 12 volts directly to terminal G and the fuel pump should run and have pressure at the fuel rail.
