I was wondering if there is a special paint to use for the speedometer / oil volt needles , mine over time have faded to clear but i think they were red at one time? . is it just red paint or dose it have to be a translucent type of paint ? an is there a led bulb made to replace the factory bulb red or white

Do a search on "needle paint". From a post from 2004: "Use Testors Model Master Fluorescent Red 28915 (matches the original near perfect) with a very fine tip brush"

Fade to clear is likely a back light set.... They only the back of needle.
