I am trying to remove the transmission, I have the cradle out and believe one of the first things to do is remove the drive shafts
anybody?
if you have the Getrag transmission procedure, i'd appreciate hearing it

So engine in car w/ some type of top brace?
You should had remove axles before doing other things because pulling axles can drop an engine supported at top.

Why?
Axles pulls out w/ big slide hammer w/ right adapter etc often puts big enough side loads that can "upset" your support and drop the engine.
See my Cave, Axle

Worse if you make the support or buy HF et al support and adapt it to fit Fiero. These often have issues and weaker then you think and won't take much to drop an engine.
Even if you have GM/Kent-moore support parts, Do Not get under the engine.

I would put back the cradle and trans mounts enough to prevent dropping the engine on you or the floor.
