Hello all, I seem to have an issue with the temperature gauge in my Fiero. The gauge is constantly pegged right and to add to the the temperature warning light doesn’t light up when starting the car. I grounded the two green lines coming out from the temp sending sensor. When I did this I was able to get the temperature warning light to light up but the temperature gauge shows no movement still. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to diagnose this issue. Thank you

This is probably the most discussed and documented issue on the forum.....going back years. If you have not done so already, you should read this overview of the operation of the Fiero temp gauge.

Pegged and stay there = often sender is dead or wire to it is open.

If messed w/ dash then can be bend "pin" on the dash "board" not connecting w/ plug.

Thank you, looks like I will be buying temperature sending unit. I’ll post if that solves the issue.

Unplug the sender and short the plug to engine will tell you if rest works.
0Ω to ground is "0" side of most gauges.

other pin just light temp light.
