Hi Guys,
Haven't been around here for awhile. I was wondering if anyone can explain which bulbs control which lights on the rear?
I have both side lenses removed and each one has 4 light sockets. Currently both directionals work, back up lights work
and parking lights work. The only lights that don't work are the brake lights.
What is the function of each socket on each side of the taillight lens? Any help would be appreciated. If two of them on
each side illuminate, which two are they? I am guessing the middle 2?? Not sure.
Thanks for your help.

depends on year etc.

is all red or red/yellow for GT?

Notchies have BL and TurnL next to and outer sides for some and other outer and inner and skip one.
84 runs all 6 w/ 2 releys

Thanks for the response.
It is an 85 GT. Which bulb on each side is for the brake light?

Exact Same ones for the 2 TurnL.
What happens on back for all Red BL and TurnL (and Hazard) is done by Steering Column switching. BL switch and Turn and H Flasher "cans" are an "input power" to that SC switches then it uses rear bulbs as needed.
All years are same, if read 86+ docs just look at "SE" data showing a "jumper" in wire between brake and turn switches.

Brakes and Hazard are "wired in parallel" so BL switch overrides Hazard function so lights go solid when both are active at same time.

When it's installed just watch them while helper moves SC and Brake switches. Or watch any other vehicle w/ all Red TL.
