Working on my SD4, my machine shop says there's a bushing that goes on the oil pump shaft ( or could be the distributor don't remember which). Does anyone know of such a part ? Just need that and 2 bronze gears and it will be ready to put together.

After looking in the SD4 guide (Page 19) that part appears to be part of the
Super Duty Engine Build Package P/N 10031328 (Items #4 in diagram below)
https://www.vpartsinc.com/O...-auto-parts/10031328

I didn't see an equivalent in the P22 Parts Book for the stock 2.5L
Maybe someone else has more on that.

I have a couple of random parts left over from my 10031328 kit.
I'll check to see if I have this one or not.

Sorry Chief. Looked thru my parts last night, but that bushing was not among what I had left over.
I'm running that Melling pump in my SD, mentioned by Fierosound, but I don't remember if I had to use that bushing or not. Perhaps it was already in the block when I got it. Good luck locating a cheaper one.

PM legutt. I haven't seen him on here in a while but he's heavy into SD's. He may have what you need.

Thanks for looking Ed. Actually it was in Italy and they had it listed but don't have it. Sent a pm to legutt still waiting on a reply.

I just talked to legutt and he has sold all his SD4's and parts. Didn't think he had such a bushing still lying around, but he suggested contacting The Fiero Factory. Said you never know what Ed Parks had put away. Jeremy may still have some stuff.

Just got back to Indiana and looked through my engine stash. I found my part on a 87 2.5 bare stock block. Apparently they're used in stock 2.5 engines( don't know about 88 and up ). Thanks to everyone for your help.
