Does anyone have a source for NEW rear brake caliper pistons for '85, '86, & '87 models? Summit Racing & Rack Auto don't have them and can't get them any longer. Centric & Raybestos evidently stopped making them.

I just looked at Summit, RockAuto, Amazon, etc and everywhere I look, it is "Out of Stock".......

Really frustrating that they made 370,000 Fieros and yet noone bothers to carry a lot of parts for it- yet the MR2 is supported by a number of companies even tho they only built a small number of them.

That's the problem. No one has the Pistons for the left rear. I was on the back order let at Summit for 7-weeks before they told me they couldn't get it from Raybestos or Centric. No longer being made but they still show "Out of stock".

I rebuilt my rear pistons (88 brakes on an 85 SE).....Silicoan86 found the inner seals in another vehicles piston rebuild kit from Centric; PN 14362008

It is a bit of work but has worked for me for a couple of years. He went thru all of the steps to disassemble and rebuild the pistons/calipers...Look up "1988 rear brake caliper internal seals found"

I believe the internal seals are the same between the 84-87 and the 88s.....(And the steps are the same also)

Because the 88s are so rare, I have been picking up 88 brake calipers in the JYs as spares for the Golden Gate Fiero Club- Noone should allow 88 calipers to go to the crusher- Grab them because they are becoming "Gold".....

I've got all the seals and pistons for the front. It's the new, self-adjusting pistons for the rear that are impossible to find.

I feel for those Fiero owners that own '88's. The lack of parts is going to force us to fit other parts or aftermarket systems from Wilwood or equal. I'm probably going to fit '85 Seville brakes on the rear of my two '86's. I suspect, though, that parts will be getting scare for those, too.
