Like the title says need to know the pivot/hold down bolt size and thread pitch I have the Rodney dickman idler pulley installed but still getting belt squeal when it rains. I’m looking to put a longer bolt with a nit on the back side so it doesn’t come loose also will apply red lock tight

Sorry, can't help with that, because my Fiero is 1000+ miles from me, so I can't check.

What I will say though is that there are a number of other factors that can lead to belt squealing...

1 - Glazed alternator and crank pulleys
2 - Excessive load on the alternator
3 - Warped alternator bracket (Rodney sells a fix: http://rodneydickman.com/ca....php?products_id=81)
4 - Worn out alternator belt

How new is the belt that's on there? Is this a car that comes out once in a while, or did you just recently replace it?

You might also want to try a set of underdrive pulleys. I went with Rodney's dead idler pulley and the underdrive pulleys at the same time, and never had squealing ever again.

If you read the post it will state that i installed a Rodney idler pulley but it’s all i figured it out m8x1.25 is the thread pitch for the pivot bolt. Installed a longer bolt and lock washer with nut on the back side so it wouldn’t loosen up. Belt is only 2 months old

Hi, I think you might have misunderstood me. I saw that you installed the Rodney Dickman idler pulley. But the Rodney Dickman product I was referencing in my link was something different. This is an additional item that goes onto your alternator bracket that reinforces the bracket so that there's no deflection. I've seen on a couple of Fieros that I've bought that this bracket is bent, and the alternator sits at a slight angle, which can cause premature wear and the belt to squeal.
