I have a 86-88 intake upper plenum (With the cast-in lettering) that I picked up in the JY and am modifying at the pinch-point.....Trying to clean the inside- Tried Brake clean, assorted other solvents....Nothing takes the carbon and oil residue/build-up off...What would you suggest using? (the biggest problem is the bottom of the inside- can't hardly reach it, can't hardly see it....)

Easy off oven cleaner.
Be careful, it will also take the paint off the outside.

Magic Eraser with the above chems you used. As far as you can reach. Just try not to lose any pieces of the eraser in there

I've had good results submerging manifolds in coke, and then thoroughly rinsing it with water afterwards.

just carb cleaner should remove that.
Don't use it on TB or lower plenum w/ plastic parts.

Maybe use a fiber or brass brush. Steel/SS can dig into aluminum. Use low speeds w/ a drill or dremel.

Careful. Many over cleaners will attack the aluminum. Even anodize aluminum.
