While thumbing through the latest Fierostore catalog, I happened to see that they sell a flat, white round filter thingy for the vapor canister filter. I assume we are talking about the black “soup can” that’s next to the cruise servo module? If so, you can replace the filter element in it? I thought the soup can was a sealed unit. Anybody ever replace the white disk filter inside of it? Pics please if you have them as I have never even taken mine off.
Thanks, Kit

The filter for the vapor canister is more under it than "in" it.

On a different car (not a Fiero), I looked high and low for a change interval, and never found one.

EVAP has 2 small vac lines and 1 "gas line" to vent the fuel tank.
That filter Is Not the EVAP media. That is loose active carbon.

Filter only block big crap trying to plug up the EVAP can and is in the bottom of the can.
Fram BA3865 is/was common filter for Fiero but likely discontinued because Fram site said "NOTES: 1. Use until inventory is depleted." Fram etc Is basically stamped cut of quilt batting. OE was stamp cut of fiberglass batting.
code:
Product Specs
Height 0.5
Outside Diameter 4.156

You don't need one unless old is "rotten"/damaged.

to replace.
Carefully pull out old or what's left of it then push in w/ a small stick.

Ok, thanks for all the replies.
So then, the soup can never needs replacing and it’s not serviceable?

Unless the can has rusted out, the chicken kaboodle contents will be fine.

I'm pretty sure I changed one on the bottom of the can years ago on a Duke powered Fiero, because the filter was 99 cents added to a parts order, not sure it made a difference to anything though
