My 4.9L swap is finally finished was started today and it sounds awesome. Time to make a custom throttle bracket and adapt the Fiero V6 throttle cable. I just need to find the clip that holds the throttle cable to the throttle body pulley. When I bought that 61K mile powertrain, the clip was missing. . Does anyone have a HELPS part number? That stupid clip is the only thing that I need t make the car road worthy. Any and all tips are appreciated.

Hey Dennis!

I plan on doing this technique to modify my v6 cable to work on my swap.

Edit: Misread your post... Blech. Sorry this won't help your problem! My bad!

Dennis, not sure if this will be of any help? When I swapped the 2.8 for a 3.4 I ended up miss placing the clip. I tried several sources but none panned out. I ended up going to a hardware store and purchasing several "C-clips". One did fit and has been in place several years now.

I have a nice pick and pull yard next to my work. Lots of 4.9s sitting in there if you need me to get a clip.

Wow that's some large pick and pull yard. Thanks for the kind gesture but if I have to bother you there would have to be a better reason.. I might as well head out to my local boneyard and solve the problem.
