Good morning, all -

New to the Fiero world... my wife and I flew to Raleigh, NC a couple of weeks ago and picked up a 1988 Formula that I bought on eBay, and drove it back to Tulsa, OK. I've dug these cars since I used to sneak my friend's brother's Fiero out at night when I was a kid, and always wanted one. I LOVE this car, and am having a blast with it! It runs and drives extremely well, and is in great shape. Just a few small odds and ends that I need to address, but nothing major.

This is going to sound like a silly question, but what are the sunroof supports that are supposed to be mounted on either side of the spare tire called? Mine are missing. Does anyone make them? If not, could someone snap a closeup pic of one for me? I can make some fairly easily, but want to make sure I have the spacing between the top of the support and the bottom of the seal correct. The tops look to me to be about an inch or an inch and a half deep by about three inches wide. Sound right? Any and all help much appreciated!

Place a request in the Mall section.
Someone will sell you the OEM parts.

Welcome aboard!

The sunroof support pads can be taken off any Fiero in the wrecking yard (that has a sunroof).

Thanks for the diagram - much appreciated!

The sunroof appears to be original. The pads were there that the top of the windshield rests on, just not the support brackets towards the front of the car. I've since sourced a used set from MulletProofMonk - thanks!

We picked up the car on a Thursday night in Raleigh, NC and rolled into Tulsa on Saturday noght at about 6 pm. 80 - 85 MPH all the way, and 25 MPG. I love this car - it ran great! Here's a pic:

Here's an image posting tip. Keep the maximum image width to 1024 pixels, and the images will display properly within a post without totally distorting the layout of the thread.

With your particular links, just change the last four numbers to 1024... as I've done below.
