There is a pipe under my 85 SE (just right of the fuel tank) that is leaking coolant. I thought the coolant pipes were on the extreme left and right of the car not down the middle. What is their purpose? does this have anything to do with the air conditioning?

Possibly one of the heater pipes. Color should match radiator fluid is so.

Yes it does match. We don't need a lot of heat here in Texas though LOL!
