What are you guys doing for stock size fiero GT tires?

I can't seem to find any performance tire for 205s and 215s for my 88GT.

General Tire Altimax HP seemed to be a decent choice, but it looks like that tire has been dis-continued.

Any pointers...?

Hello FieroGT28, I am in the same boat. I like to use a 225 for the rears and am looking at Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring right now. Asymmetrical pattern, not too bad.

The BFG Radial T/A appears to be available in the 86-88 GT sizes:

There are quite a few 'all season' tires still available, but if you want 'performance' or 'summer only' tires for 15" wheels, good luck. The difference may be hardly noticeable if you find tires with a soft rubber compound....UTQG of 400 is the best you can do on Tire Rack. (the BFG radial T/A is 400, a lower number is softer.)

edit: Years ago the tire of choice was Dunlop.....with a UTQG of 240!....sadly, no longer made for 15" wheels. Fieros love soft tires.

I recently went through this for my 88 GT. I did switch to 215 front and 225 rear
some years ago. I decided to go with Kumhos and have been happy with
the performance. I read in some posts that others had tried them and recommended
them. Ordered them from tire rack and I see they are still available. I used to use
Goodyear Eagle GTs on the car.

I've been running Kuhmo's on my formula for a few years now. On my 2nd set on the rear. I've had no issues with them

I wonder if the BF Goodrich's are available without the white makings on the outside of the tire...?
Unless you just turn it around...

I have Radial T/As, and yes, one side of the tire has white letters, the other side of the tire has black letters.
