Is there a way to tighten the gas cable on an 88 Duke?
Gas pedal does not react immediately when pressed. I noticed a lot of slack on the cable in the back.
Can it be adjusted?

Thanks,

\D

Check the club forum.
I don't want to hotlink to Ogre's cave, here. He can, if he wants to.

Or click the "Ogre's cave" link, above. Click on Powertrain / General Engine / Throttle cable.

Is not adjustable but may not be the cable or cable alone.
Gas pedal and other things can be problems or add to a iffy cable problems.

Example: Pedal and plastic part hold to the bracket can wear out or fail completely and make problems. Worse when some id10t used oil/grease to lube plastic parts.
