Hello all I am working on a project and was wondering if you know if our tachs operate with three or for pulses to make the gauge work? I think its three but not sure.

Help us out with a bit of data.. 4, 6, or 8 cylinders? Probably a similar answer, but it helps.

60 pulses per second will show 1200 rpm on the tachometer fitted to a v-6 Fiero. Please clarify your question please.

Ya sorry for the vague question I think I should just let this post die here. But this is for a v6 auto. I will be swaping the tach with an autometer one and they list it at three pulses witch does not make any seance to me. Its the only setting for the v6 option. I am going to have to do more reserch on this. I am going to do the GPS speedo but need to save to get this.
