Not all relay coils like being on all the time or even on for hours and quickly "wear out."
Most relay don't have diodes unlike fuel pump and other relays used by automotive industries. Coil diodes kill the surge when power to it is cut.
Catalogs FSM and other places don't show them in most wiring doc's but nearly all car relays have diode(s) in the relay case.
If you really want to use relays... cut wires between C & D fuse links and OE relays. Not the links or splices to them.
