Is anyone using this bracket on the 4.9, swapped into an 88?
Does anyone know what bottom mount is needed, to work with this bracket?

Obviously, I can take everything apart and measure / eyeball. But it would be nice to know before I get hip-deep into my project.

Already did a search. Found nothing meaningful.

Thanks!

???
I don't think Archie ever did a 4.9 installation. Most everything he did was a SBC.
With that said, if it's really a 4.9 - whoever installed it - I certainly wouldn't mind seeing how it's mounted. Interested in the bracket under the oil pan, and the rubber mount that it's bolted to. But please don't go to a bunch of trouble.

Ah. Cool. That's who did my initial install. Yours is probably just like mine.
I'm having to re-engineer mine, just a bit. Thinking about swapping Jon's bracket in, instead of the FF one.

Thanks, though. Much appreciated.

Long story.
The short story is that it appears to not be sitting level.
I want to raise the "pulley end" of the engine, just a bit. I also don't like how close the pan sits, to the FF mounting bracket, and studs.
Been that way forever, but I'm doing some other stuff too, so I might as well do this, while I'm at it.

I remounted my 4.9 for the same reason, but I eliminated the mount below the crankshaft.
I have four mounts to the cradle, down low and no dogbone.

The front mount, behind the compressor, is likely no longer a viable option. At least not with the Deville bracket.
I have an Allante bracket on the way, Mounts a little differently from the Deville bracket. We shall see.

Used WCF front mount and a universal Energy Suspension poly mount. Its 4 point like Joes with no dog bone. .Trans mounts are Fiero auto. Brackets are just standard Caddy stripped of the rubber.
