Has anyone used the Tunerpro RT program to scan their 4.9 ?
I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to.......
Can anyone help ?

There's an ADX file out there that lets you scan... Nothing that lets you read/write a .bin file though...

I use it to scan/log on my 4.9. I'm just not good enough at it to probably be of any help

I'm only looking to scan.....nothing more.
The file is suppose to be on the disk but I'm having trouble finding which file needs to be loaded into the program.....

I haven't been into computers for several years so I'm behind the curve right now...

I have it at home on my laptop somewhere but if it was the .adx that you used last, it should come up by default - no?

I'll try and take a look tonight on that laptop. I remember the first time I set it up I was confused how to load the file correctly, and which file to use... just like you are. I have not used it in a while, although I need to to log some data that I ment to last season. I might have seen a youtube out there on how to do it. I do have the file somewhere on that laptop I use as well, there are a few out there... one version worked better- less errors than others.

I didn't find it at all intuitive. When you get things figured out, maybe you can put together a step-by-step guide (thread) for those of use that would really like to get into tuning.

You can't tune a 4.9 with Tuner Pro because no one created a mapping file for it [.xdf]. You can SCAN with it because an .ads/.adx file exists.
Here it is. Just copy and paste this code into a file using a .adx extension then you can use it to scan a 4.9

If you are scanning and you notice the settings jump around do a search for Phonedawgz "how to" videos because you have to change a setting in the ADX file to eliminate it.
Do a darn search...don't bother messaging him.

lou_dias......I found the videos on YouTube after you first mentioned that they existed.....I have looked at a few of them but I just haven't had time to study all of them yet.....life is busy with the responsibilities of an adult life unfortunately.
While I absolutely appreciate any help you are willing to give,you need to realize that not everyone is as up to date with computers as the next guy.

Ok, I have been super busy. I have a long weekend coming up and will try to get the laptop up and scanning to provide some info.

The big problem is that RT can do so much, and there is a lot of info out there. Unfortunately, that can be overwhelming and our 4.9 can only use a tiny portion of what is available in the software. I get it.
I see what lou posted, and really I have no idea what all that code is, although I suspect it's the same thing I use, just "out of the file". I'm sure it's helpful stuff, but that's over my head. Still, if I can manage to scan this thing without understanding alll that... So can you.
I'm sure I can email you the adx I use if you are having trouble locating it once I get around to it.

Rather than going thru the trouble of PM'ing everyone then emailing everyone a file individually, I opened the .adx file in Notepad and copied and pasted the contents of it into the message. All you have to do is copy and paste it into your own file with whatever name you choose as long as it ends with .adx then you can open that file with Tuner Pro and start scanning your 4.9...

Lou_dias.......I figured that was the file that you posted.
The CD that I received with the cable and program has files on it....I was just having a hard time figuring out which was the proper file to load into the program.
Will give your file a shot this weekend,thanks for posting it.
