Hello I was looking to do an engine swap on my kit car and was looking to see the deference in height between 3800 and 2.8. I may have a clearance issue in the back end is completely custom tubing but stock 84-87 cradle. Any measurements would be appreciated. I was planing on using Rogers mounts unless any other suggestions.

If you plan to do an 3800 N/A swap, you may not have clearance issues. If your deck lid has the lifted center section you should be ok. Without it probably not.

Yes it has a small area that I hope will clear I was hoping some one can measure from cradle to top of intake manifold. I was hoping to by some mounts that are pre made mounts. I spoke to Ryan at fieroroma he said it my clear being 90 deg engine compared to Fiero being 60.

The 3800 SC is not as tall as the 2.8. You should be fine.

I agree so far from info I seen I think the 3800 na should fit. I will be keeping it stock for now till all bugs worked out then plan on turboing. So far I have done some research and from what I understand I can keep stock 2.8 fuel pump until I turbo it then upgrade. Also stock Fiero drivers side axels one from a manual and auto until I change out for hd diff. Appreciate all the help so far.

I think I've read that if you are planning to turbo the 3800 then you are better off starting with the 3800 sc. It's better built to handle the boost. Maybe someone can confirm this?

You are right the compression is different and just swap super charger to l26 or f body intake it would be better. But I got a free l36 and transmission for free and it's going to be a test fit I don't mind swapping things out late if everything works out. I can get a series III SC block for cheap from a friend if it all works out.

3800 s/c or turbo in the kit car would be a great addition, but what about some glamour shots of the car eh? Or a link if you have them posted somewhere else
Pretty please
