Ive got a Northstar TB on my 3800 SC engine. Using Hp Tuner to monitor values, the IAC is sitting at 0 and cant lower the idle any further than ~900 rpms. In the LSx world, people would generally close the hole in the TB blade. However, there is no hole in the TB blade. Is there a common thing people do to get around this? I was leaning towards using epoxy to close the IAC hole a bit, but didnt know if there was already a common work around?

It's bigger, that's about it. Generally bigger will give more power if it's a bottleneck because your engine is out flowing the stocker. My understanding is you need to be pretty mod'ed to need a bigger tb though.

I've noticed alot of people use lq4 maf as well, perhaps this iac issue is the reason...?

Remembering back to my N* there should be a minimum idle airflow screw that stops the throttle from closing all the way. Have you backed that off yet?
