looking for some help. Starting to get a head ache lol. First tried downloading tiny tuner program on windows 10 and soon realized that was just not gonna happen. Now looked like windows xp was my best bet. So I fired up my old windows xp desk top, down loaded the program. But it wont open says i need another program to open down load. So do i need to use microsoft excel or something? Any help would be very well appreciated.
You might need to download the newer application/database/OSID files separately, though I don't know if that will help. Given that it talks about ClubGP, I think it might be more targeted to the 3800.
I use tiny tuner, you know how to use the database right?
go to "options" then "use database when available" then go to "options" then "select database"
the name of the database file should be something like "Active_TTDB_09-20-13.mdb" and should be included in the original download. (see screenshot below) what kind of engine are you tuning? I have a couple of bin files that may be better to use for a "base tune" PM me an email address and I can forward them to you.
When I go to select database they are no where to be found in my downloaded files.
I sent you an email with the database file, along with an 02 grand am bin file that may be helpful. the 02 file has more tunable tables than most of the other 3x00 files. I am not sure if the file will be compatible with your engine or your PCM though.

tiny tuner is pretty awesome, it's aimed at GM V6's in general. in fact, many of the 3800 files can run a 3x00 and vice versa. My turbo 3500 (with 3400 sensor arrangements) was briefly run on an L67 bin file recently. in some ways, it ran much better, in others, not so much.

OP mentioned the 97 LQ1 DOHC 3.4. The web site doesn't seem to have a definitive list of what is or is not supported, though. It does seem to have a few different download links that may alter what is supported, depending on what was actually installed, as well.
It will run on Windows 10, but takes some messing around with running it in compatibility mode. I installed when my computer was win 8.1, and got it all working with compatibility mode, upgraded to win 10 recently and had no issues with it starting up.

I understand, many different OSID's are supported, there is at least one 3.4 file I have that should be correct for the application. still doing further inspections for validation.
