I am working with an 86 with a 2.8. Got the car running, but realized it was leaking oil terribly, needed new valve seals, amongst other things. Upon placing the head bolts back in, one of them will start a few turns, but then gets hung up less than half way down. I ran PB blaster and a wire brush through the hole in hopes of cleaning it out, but to no avail.the threads appear to be stripped. I tried another Bolt, and same issue. But the original Bolt works in another hole, so I know my bolts are fine. My question is, what size Tap should I chase the threads with? And is this safe to do with the head on? Or does it need to come back off? From what I am reading and what I have seen, it looks to be maybe an 11MM X 1.5 or 11MM X 1.75, but I'm not certain either way. Can anyone shed some light here?

If my alleged memory serves me, I'm pretty sure that they are M11x1.50. Maybe someone else can verify this.
