Hello,

I am not sure what transmission I should get, or if I should use the stock 4 speed.
The 4 speed should be strong enough to handle the power of a 3800SC, but I would rather spend money if it affects the performance majorly. I tried to research this question, but I couldn't find anything that really answered my question.

I was planning on using the stock tranny and if I would end up putting a turbo in in a few years I would get a stronger tranny. Now I am wondering if the F23 tranny might be a better performance choice.

Thanks,

Koert

If you want a stick, only the 6 speed F40 is rated to handle the power but it is a difficult swap. If you want an auto the 4T65eHD is very strong.
