The 85 came with

185/80R13 front/ rear

195/70R14 front/rear

215/60R14 front/rear

The 88 came with

185/75R14 front
195/70R14 rear

205/60R15 front
215/60R15 rear

All of them have the same offset 14" and 15" not sure about 13.

15x6" +37mm offset front wheel
15x7" +30mm offset rear wheel

Maybe some one else can confirm this but I pretty sure they will fit fine.

The 88 vehicles use offsets than the earlier vehicles. I have seen 88 rims installed on earlier vehicles but they may or may not look a bit strange (everyone has a specific personal preference). They will certainly fit on the wheel lugs but the offsets may not be correct.

They'll fit.
The 15x7 88 rear wheels are essentially the same casting as the earlier 15x7 wheels, except that they are painted different colors, and the valve stem is drilled in a different place. I have measured the offsets of both wheels. They are identical in that regard.
The 15x6 88 front wheel is essentially the same wheel, minus the 1" lip on the front face.

I have seen a set of 88 wheels mounted on an earlier car. They fit fine. The fronts look a little bit "tucked in" under the front, compared to the regular wheels, but there were no interference issues at all. The real advantage to using those wheels is that the steering should be a good bit lighter, due to the decreased scrub radius.
