Hello all. I am installing Northstar throttle body on a 3800 swap I am working on, using a stock Northstar MAF. I notice that the Northstar MAF is a 5 wire connector while the 3800 MAF is a 3 wire unit. Does anyone know how to wire the Northstar MAF to the 3800 ECM. I assume I can figure out the TPS but if anyone has the answer to that one I would like to hear that too.

The 5 pin MAF sensors use have an internal IAT (intake air temperature sensor) with the MAF. If you are looking to take the easy way out ZZ Performance sells a short adapter harness that has 3 wire MAF connector and the 2 wire IAT plug. If know how crimp pins on wire and insert them in the 5 pin connector let me know and I will post the hookup.

You can also just use the 5 pin connector for the Northstar MAF/IAT combo.

I would suggest that you not use the pigtail connector as it just puts an unnecessary splice in the harness. Crimp terminals on wires and insert in the connector is the neatest way
