I have a 86 gt that has been giving me some issues of late . A couple of weeks ago i was driving home from a car show it was a warm day out ,and the area i was driving was a little hilly . I was starting to notice a little lose of power . I shut the ac off that helped a little. After a few minutes i was not longer driving in a hilly area and at every light the car would stall unless i put it in neutral {i have a 4 speed}. a couple of times it did die on me and a after a couple of minutes it would start but it contuined to do so at ever stop . I was able to get it home.I checked under the hood and did not notice anything abnormal. It did not over heat the belts are only a few months old .And A tune up was done not so long ago. I had the car checked and they replaced the ground wire. The car seemed to ride better for a couple of weeks until last night .While driving for about ten minutes in heavy traffic i again started to lose power the car died a few times. I was able to get it home.I had it towed last night to my friends shop.It was cranking but it would not start. My friend called today and told me there was no spark. And there was no message {or power]. Not sure if i am saying it right to the injectors so its not getting gas as well. Also when i started the car yesterday and put on the ac the radio was going in and out and i could hear and thumping sound going on and off threw the speakers. When i shut off the ac i could hear the radio better. Has anybody had anytime of issues like this and if so can you tell what the problem was and how it was fixed.it seems to me some sort of electrical issue that is affecting the power of the car.And one other thing not sure if this is related but the tachometer has not worked correctly in a couple of months for the most part it does not move but it does sometimes especially if i am giving it gas while i am shifting . I appreciate any help thank you.

Thumping thru the stereo is typical of a low voltage situation.
Dirty ground at battery, failing battery, failing alternator......
