You did say 4.9L right.? The hose on the passenger side would be a standard right side 4 cyl. Engine to pipe hose.

The bottom hose? The one that connects between the passenger side pipe and the water pump?
My 4.9 uses the stock hose for the V6.
I had to use a long hose clamp around the cradle mount and the hose, to pull it forward, away from the compressor.
Mine is an 88. YMMV.
