I'm looking around and seeing that some are using exhaust manifolds from a 2000+ camaro with 3.8. Is there a reason not to use the earlier rams horn style manifolds? This is on a stock engine. Reason is I am having trouble with the shifter cables on my 4 speed and if I get rid of the crossover I can put the cable back to stock and have second gear back.

I don't know if I bent something, but when I replaced my clutch I lost the ability to shift into second. The levers hit each other. This is what I have done to clear the crossover.

That's pretty much what I did.

A friend was looking at my car yesterday and was talking about cutting a bracket and lowering the shift arm, I'm not sure about cutting the bracket. This looks like a less permanent solution.

Holy zip ties batman.
That's why I'm doing a true dual, going to try and keep the exhaust as far away from the shift cables as I can

I know, I need to get the repair kit from Rodney.

Found a pair of rams horn style on eBay for about a hundred bucks, just wondering why people don't use them.
