What kind of Ideas are you looking for? I woulldnt use the 4 speed though. All the info you need for thee swap can be found on here, probably the best documented swap done.

As per a conversation I once had with an engineer at the GM Muncie plant, he reported that the Fiero transmission was designed for a maximum torque of 200 ft. lbs. The 3800SC puts out more torque than the design limits. The transmission may last for around town use , trips and occasional full throttle use so determine how you will use your powertrain and then choose the parts. With the stick you will also need a HD clutch but keeping the 4 speed does greatly simplify the swap.

Personally I have seen the V6 4 speed with its 365 gears out last the 5 speed Getrag that came in the Fiero abuse wise, around town and light to light the 4 speed gears are a nice match to the 3800SC power but the higher rpm on the highway does cost a lot of extra fuel if you travel long distances

Exactly, the 4 speed Muncie from the 95/96 is the strongest tranny, capable of handling v8s. I have 265 ft lbs running through mine and it takes it in stride.

The Gehtrag is not quite as strong, but it breaths better on the freeway speeds. There are SBC conversions that have broken the Gehtrag.

The 3800sc is a screamer so it will go like stink with the 4 speed.
