Replaced a faulty re-man compressor on my AC, what a difference! The redesigned compressors are quieter, and don't have near the draw on the engine. I had to go back to the engine and look to see if it was kicking in or not. One thing I learned is don't waste your money on a re-man, pop the extra and go new.

Nice to hear...

Tell me something, can you tell me the part # and what brand compressor you bought?
(I suspect it would be an AC Delco?)
One of my 88s will need one soon, because it hasn't been functioning in years.

I would like to have it in operation in the future. The compressor will be an item that will be bought first
to restore my A/C system.

Is your car a V6 fiero?

Thanks,

I have a re-bodied 84, iron duke. Auto Zone had an Everco for $206, that's the one I got. Unlike most Auto Zone parts this seems to be a nice quality part, made a big difference using the AC.
