Hey guys I am putting a new cat on my old down pipe with those exhaust "C" clamps.

I started it up and I feel a slight exhaust leak around the slip on joints. Personally I never used these clamps before, so I don't know if it is normal for these clamps.

I tightened it down with my breaker bar a little more and now the slight leak is 98% gone. Ill just have to weld it for 100% but I am gonna swap the engine in a year or two anyways so...

Many don't that you need to carefully slot the cat for using clamps. Unlike many "adapter" at parts stores... Cat metal to hard etc for clamps.
Covered in many books and GM SM.
I look later.

I use slots and 2 clamps.
Clamps are 180° to each other and close together as possible.

They make exhaust "sealer" too to use w/ clamps to stop minor leaks.
