I am looking to buy an 87 duke off Craig's list but the guy says sometimes starts fine,sometimes it takes a few trys.i was thinking igntion or timing,possibly crank sensor,any ideas??

Could just be a failing starter. Old plugs. Could be too much fuel, lots of things. He didnt even mention warm or cold starts, any new parts, etc.
