Alrighty,

I have an 86 SE and I'm really wanting to do a swap for a 3800 SC. I have never really done an engine swap before, so I'm a little new when it comes to this. What I need is a list of parts that I need and a cost estimate on things like the new supercharged motor, new manifolds, gaskets, mounts... etc. Basically, I need a list of everything I'd need and about how much it"d cost me out the door. Thanks guys.

Very Respectfully,
Mike

It cost me around 2300 with buying a good motor from a junkyard and buying the swap parts from vendors here on the forum. Fierorog is great for mounts and flywheel if going manual. Fieroflyer and phondawgz do wiring harnesses

I also like using FieroFreak00 custom fuel rails as they clean up the whole engine very nicely and make the fuel line hook-up a breeze. Contact Jason, he does great quality work!! Also, contact Ryan at Sinister performance to custom program your PCM, He is known as DarthFiero here on Pennock's. He can answer many technical questions you may have as well. Another great guy to work with!! Curtis

You can check out my build (link in sig) i just gathered over the counter parts and threw it all together in about a month.

I got my mounts from West coast fiero
I got my harness from Phonedawgs
I made my own pass side axle for the HD auto tans
I made a super simple single 3" exhaust
I re routed my Belts to delete the P/S pump and left the Alternator up high to keep things simple

The one thin I can't stress enough I probably spent over $1,000 at various auto parts stores for purely miscellaneous parts like hose, hose clamps, wire, CV boot straps, heat shrink tubing, fluids, filters, belts, bolts, paint there are so many little $2 or $4 things you need to button it all up.
