Has anyone seen a modified GM DIS set up to accept a newer Coil over Plug (COP)?

I have been researching it today and it dont seem to be impossible to complete.

Why? I know someone is going to ask. I am installing a 3.4DOHC and boosting it so I want good spark. Yes Yes, I know someone is going to come back and say that the GM system is good to yada yada, but I am going to install the MSD DIS4 as well I want the retardation control for when I run the N20.

So please if anyone has information on a custom installation please let me see it, thanks.

Its been done many times with the 7730 however thats on a 3.4 out of an F body, not the DOHC as much but its still doable. Personally, if youre going to boost it youd be better off going with MS2 as you will be rewiring the car anyways. As far as I know the 7730 will only do batch fire. MS unlocks a lot more, youll be rewiring it as said so for an added cost of 350 bucks for a MS box youd be better off.

You are talking about the MagaSquirt2? I was just checking that out tonight to see if I wanted to get into that or not.

I am installing the 3.4DOHC and the first install will be OBD1 from a 94 GP and the Second Motor is from a 96 GTP that will be getting a full performance build so that will be a OBD2. But both have a DIS so that is where I was going to be pulling the trigger info from and use the MSD interface blocks to connect to the individual coils.

I'm trying to see what I can make happen with the stock computer. Recently, I purchased a set of LS2 coils to play with. it might just be a little bit of custom wiring and programming to make it happen.

Thats what I am thinking. The ICM only gives off the reference to fire the coil two towers at the same time. So the only difference would be that you would need to send that signal to two coils now instead of one.
